Easter celebrations

Rather than try and coach Nils in the fine art of dyeing eggs, I blew a few of them out, and we finger-painted them. They turned out rather nice. When we were done I put a ribbon on them and hung them on the tree in our front yard. This one is Nils' egg. He spent the whole time massaging the paint onto this one egg until it was a beautiful, uniform shade of purply-brown.

We used plastic eggs for the hunt this morning. Walter got one in each hand and merrily carried them around the yard.

Nils was keen on picking them up, until his Dad showed him there was candy inside. After that he couldn't be bothered with collecting them. Instead he'd find one that rattled, open it, stand there and eat the contents then move onto the next one.
