We had a last minute party today. Mostly for Walter, but since most of our family has a birthday within the same week, it was really for everyone except for Nils.
So we had a party. It was fun. I made egg-rolls, they were good. I also managed to get the impossible baby to sleep. I'm very soporific.

Pros and Cons
Nils' school has a dress code. This is a good thing, to me, because it takes some of the focus away from dressing stylishly, or whatever. It also simplifies the morning routine, because you just wear your school clothes.
On the downside though, without getting feedback from your peers about your clothing choices it lets idiosyncrasies linger longer than they otherwise might. I would guess that Nils has no idea that the other kids in his class don't dress like this at home too:And yes, not only is he wearing socks with sandals, they're Christmas socks too. And the shorts are swim trunks.

72 Hour Kids
Since it's conference weekend it is time to update the 72 hour kits. Walter got about half a pack of gum in his mouth before we caught him. He also has been running around in the pants from his kit (which he's decided he prefers to his regular pants).
Best conference ever (according to the kids).

Sicko
It looks like we'll be under quarantine for the next little while. I picked Nils up from school, and he seemed perfectly fine. Granted I don't make it a habit to closely inspect his eyes whenever I pick him up. About two hours later his eye was all red, and covered in goop. Naturally this was a few minutes after the doctor's office closed. So instead I had to drive him to the urgent care, and hang out there for two hours, then go to the pharmacy, and on and on.
So we'll be stuck at home for the next few days, administering eye drops every 6 hours, and amoxicillin every 8 hours, and Cadbury mini eggs every hour.
